We are an ALL Volunteer organization.

Policy Effective May 1, 2017

Meriden Soccer Club cannot survive without the help of dedicated volunteers. Regardless of your soccer experience, there is always a need for your time and talents. As parent volunteers, it is our responsibility to ensure that we provide the best possible program for our children. Please review the volunteer opportunities that the club offers and determine where you might be able to contribute.

Signing up for volunteer time is EASY. You can sign up for many of the volunteer programs during registration. You will also have the opportunity during the season to sign up for volunteer time to perform duties at one of the club’s concession stands.

Scheduling, meeting and recording your volunteer commitment are your responsibility. If, like our children, we can pull together as a team, we can make a real difference and improve the overall success of our program.

We completely understand that giving time can be challenging for busy families.  Because of this, we do offer a $25 opt-out fee.  We ask that this be paid during registration.

Should a family elect not to opt-out and fails to meet their volunteer commitment for the Volunteer Year (August 1st through July 31st each year), they will be required to pay the Missing Volunteer Commitment Fee before their player can be registered.

Our Volunteer Policy evolves season to season and is used to encourage volunteering for parents across all divisions within the club.

Volunteer Fees for 2017-2018

Note: these fees are reviewed each season and are subject to change.

  • Season Volunteer Opt-Out Fee: $25
  • Season Missing Volunteer Commitment Fee: $35

Claiming Period

MSC has established a Claiming Period for volunteer commitments.

After fullfilling their volunteer commitment parents have four weeks to confirm with the club's Volunteer coordinator that their commitment has been properly recorded and aknowledged by the club.

It is the responsibility of the Parent and not the club to ensure hours have been credited properly.
